There are at least ten types of fruit trees growing here and there in our city, <br />but as far as I've been able to tell, there are no banana trees. What a pity! <br />But to look in our home this week, you'd think we had a tree in our own yard. <br />We've got long and short bananas; ....some are quite firm, while some are much less hard. <br /> <br />Why, you ask, is there a plethora of this tropic fruit in our house right now. <br />I have a simple explanation and I shall explain it to you now. <br /> <br />I guess I bought the first bunch in our town's downtown grocery store. <br />Then, there a few days later, they had some 99 cents-a-bag ones, so I bought some more. <br />Then my wife, at another store, picked up a big bunch which is a little green. <br />Luckily I can easily eat two or three a day, as I'm a banana-eater, mean. <br /> <br />(Nov.2012) <br /> <br />[note: 'mean' is used here as a slang adjective, meaning 'excellent; skillful]<br /><br />Bri Edwards<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/we-ve-gone-bananas-this-week-fruit-groceries-personal/
